BANANAS
Their superb position by the Solaise lift makes this bar/restaurant a great après ski position and lunchtime stop. Free WiFi. By night it turns into a haven for chalet girls. Need we say more.
MORIS PUB
Legendary by name and sheer time in existence, this is a great place for après, a quick burger and there’s rockin’ live bands into the night.
SALOON
Located on the slopes and in town at the same time, this place is a good meeting spot during the day and party spot at night. Après ski is wedged in the middle with live music and even a ski attendant.
WARM UP
Hard to miss this one – right in the very centre of town. This relaxed bar has got free WiFi, live music, homemade soup and the most amazing gingerbread hot chocolate you ever tasted.
CAFÉ FACE
Located in the centre of town, this is a cosmopolitan bar with live music from five. Hourly beer prices from 4pm going up 10 cents an hour until 10pm and free tapenade.
VSPOT
The Vspot Bar and Shop is located above the Val d’Isère cinema, opposite the bus station. A smart looking modern bar with a funky twist. With pool table, free wifi and plenty of live entertainment.
LA TETE DE SOLAISE
This panoramic mountain restaurant offers great views and sun all day and with the huge sun deck covered in deckchairs and live music in the afternoon it makes it a perfect spot for a drink after skiing. Located at the top of the solaise express chair lift.
THE LODGE
Located below the fantastic Lodge Restaurant (best fondue in Lodge Restaurant (best fondue in the valley!) This place goes off on the right night with live DJ’s (see ‘What’s On’). Well worth a look.
LE GRAAL
One of the smartest nightclubs in town and the most chic after hours venue about. Free bus home 11pm – 4am! Happy hour 11pm-1am (2 euro beer /4 euro long drink) and a flashing dance floor.
LE PETIT DANOIS
Offering good all round service. Will create your hangover at night with the highly intoxicating Red Erik and scandie fun but cure it the next day with a full English breakfast. It’s also got an a la carte restaurant at night.
LA BELLE ETOILE
The only place in town you can enjoy live music whilst sipping Petrus, Crystal or Heineken if you’re so inclined. This is probably Val’s classiest bar/restaurant, hosting the best sushi and most exclusive wine
list in town.
VICTORS
Located above the Spar supermarket. If you like a cocktail or two this is the place. Scadinavian run, their restaurant offers a great menu.
UNDERGROUND CAFE
A Sleek new basement bar opened again this year situated right in the center of town. Located under the Warm-up it’s got a modern New York feel and has some of the best cocktails in town.
FOLIE DOUCE
Located on the mountain on the ok Orange, this pace creates one hell of a party up there with live DJ’s and singers mixed together .
LE PUB
A warm & cosy bar located in the Galerie des Cimes past Powder Monkey. This is a great place to avoid the crowds, relax and play a game of darts.
BAR L’ALEXANDRA
Located near the post office and run by the fanatic Kiwi Phil. It’s the best pool venue in town. There’s also a top level sound system so Phil and his antipodean friends will be throwing some loud parties. Great for big groups.
MBC
Located next to Dicks Tea Bar this is the new breed of club in Val d’Isère. Incredibly stylish and beautifully designed, this sophisticated basement bar nightspot is an escape from the beer-swilling masses and open
and friendly to all. Open 10:30-4pm
PACIFIC
Just past second roundabout in the centre of town. The Pacific is home to many a key worker. With seven plasma screens playing most sport from around the globe, this is THE place to watch sport. The Raffle on Friday with skis and boards up for the taking is not to be missed.
BLUE NOTE
Located under the hotel Omelune, opposite the ESF office. Serving up all your classic drinks to a mixture of jazz and funk. Atmospheric and friendly with free nibbles and specials at aprés (3pm-6pm).
DOUDOUNE
Opened last year and already re-vamped for this season. This nightclub is packed with entertainment in a super plush venue. Located across the nursery slopes.
