Happy New Year

If Christmas passed you by without you noticing, New Years Eve certainly won’t. New Years Eve has to be the biggest night in Val for the season. So we’ve compiled a list of what to do on this big night in town so you’re sure to have the best time possible.

So the bars are turning it up for you all this season with some superb deals, be sure to get out to your favourite clubs and bars, say hi to the staff (who have no other choice than to work) and get your groove on to welcome the new year!

For the good of others:

Blue Note want you to come and enjoy New Years Eve with them and all your regular friendly faces. There’s no charge, but donations are welcome and all proceeds go to Huck Cancer (local cancer charity). Doors open from 10pm.

The Lodge will be open for apres ski until 10.30pm, but after that doors close for a private party – friends only at no charge.

If it’s live music you’re after this New Years:

Le Foret have ‘The Mountee’ playing live. It’s free entry until 10.30pm, but 5euros entry fee after that. This will also give you a glass of champagne for the countdown.

VSPOT have ‘Mullit’ rocking live as well as DJ’s John Kennedy and Stevie D (UK), kicks off at 8pm, and will cost you 40euro entry and 20euro for seasonaires.

The Moris Pub have Dr Bruce playing live, this one kicks off at 11pm and goes til late, the pubs open from 10pm. Entry is 30euro and 25 euro for seasonaires and will give you a free shot with every single ticket sold and a free bottle sparkling with every 10 tickets purchased.

Warm Up have Huw & Co playing, its a free entrance with early evening Piano Bar, cocktails and black tie – rocking it up later on…

Cafe Face have a Red Carpet theme, after all glamour is all the go! 30euro entry, free after 3, closes 6 -7am depending. Later on there’s

Le Graal who have The Infamous Monsieur Phillippe Corti party. With this name you need no explanation, tickets on sale now, 30euro, 11pm – 6am.

Just for the party:

St Hubert have free entry, and are providing good music in a funky little place, go try the retro sofa’s.

Pacific’s NYE party tickets available now at the bar. If its Victors you fancy, it will be15euro pay on the door, that includes a free glass of champagne.

Saloon are offering you their party of the season, starts from 1pm – 4am and costs 30euro entry and 25euro for seasonaires, this includes 2 free shots and a glass of champagne – tickets available now!

Dicks is having a NYE SnowBall! Wear white, silver or sparkly, doors are open from 10pm – 6am, cost is 25euros with loyalty card and 30euros without. Free glass champagne and canapés as well as a bacon butty if you make it til 5!

Fancy dinner New years Eve?

Danois have 3 courses for 65euros, mains and dessert are buffet style and 1 beer or 2 wines are included also on entry for the night. If not its 35euro for the bar that evening, you can get your tickets on the door – but be sure to book for dinner. Le Petit Danois is open all night long, with breakfast starting at 8am.

Bananas have a 60euro menu of foie gras, smoked salmon for starter, fillet of beef with Morilles for mains and fondante of chocolate for dessert. Ticket includes 20 euro bar entry. Not dining, they have a 20euro bar entry fee including a free drink, the bar outside has no charge.

Alexandra is offering 50euros for a full buffet, entry into bar and a free glass of champagne 8.30 – 11pm. From 11.30 its the bar only for 20euro, first drink is free, but they have very limited numbers, so get in quick, pre sales preferred.

PIER Is offering a 50euro set menu for seasonaires of four courses including a seafood buffet, Braised Chicken, Girolles selection of Local Savoyard Cheeses and Macaron with Sparkling Coconut Sorbet and a glass of bubbly.

PAUL is offering a 80euro set menu for seasonaires including Shell Fish Soup,Escalope of Duck Foie Gras, King Prawns, Crab, with sautéed Young Veal served with Potatoes roasted in Duck Fat and with Truffle Juice for main and Macaron with Sparkling Coconut Sorbet to follow all with a glass of bubbly.
